Lote Negro is a blend of 60% malbec from Los Chacayes and 40% cabernet franc from Altamira, all fermented in concrete and then aged in used oak barrels for about 14 months. This is a reflection of the season, and the sensation of a cooler year results in red fruits, herbs, and a tension of acidity and tannins. A wine full of fruit. It’s juicy, intense, and powerful, but it also lets that delicious fruit shine. This is one to leave in the cellar for a few years, or open it now, decant it patiently, and serve it with lamb.
