TASTING
With a pale ruby color our Micault 2017 is the purest expression of low-oaked Pinot Noir. Aged in older oak barrels, giving prominence to crisp red fruit aromas, it displays notes of strawberries and raspberries alongside hints of flowers such as peonies. The palate reveals low and mellow tannins, as well as a lot of flesh. Enjoyable from now on, this Pinot Noir will age gracefully in the years to come.
TERROIR
Alluvium rich soil deposited by the Avant-Dheune river covers Micault’s 1.29 hectares of silt. Planted in 1987, the vines here produce a fruity, crisp and fleshy Pinot Noir that is very drinkable young. Once an English garden surrounding Château Micault, it was transformed into the 126 row Micault plot in 1968.
