“No Muscadet estate is rendering consistently finer or more intriguing wines than Luneau-Papin, and given the prices asked there is no excuse for any lover of wine not making their acquaintance.” – Wine Advocate
The organically farmed Clos des Allées is a Monopole. That means this 2.5-hectare plot – or in French ‘lieu-dit’ – of old vines is controlled entirely by Domaine Pierre Luneau-Papin. Therefore, you will not find a Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie quite like this one anywhere else.
Crystal-clear and as delicately intricate as lace; jasmine, orange blossom, lemon zest, pear sorbet, greengage, beach pebbles and subtle spice all dance around the palate. An exquisite match for oysters, scallops, sea bass, goats’ cheese, asparagus, crisp salads, white anchovies, sushi, sashimi, homemade egg pasta and fresh baguette, or simply sip as an aperitif.
