Le Clos Saint-Jean is one of the jewels of the Premiers Crus of the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation . On this sublime terroir, the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate offers us a very intense wine with incredible length . The excellent maturity of the harvested grapes gives this cuvée a powerful and complex palate evolving on citrus fruits while the meticulous aging in barrels gives it roundness and indulgence . A large mineral frame also runs through this cuvée and is particularly present on the finish. It is the latter that will allow this great Chardonnay to pass the years brilliantly.One of the most beautiful references on Chassagne, for sure!
